Job summary

Johnson Controls in Burlington, MA seeks a CNC production technician to set up, calibrate, and operate machines in a high-precision environment. You will follow SOPs, inspect outputs, and support process improvements with engineers.

Role requires reading schematics, strong attention to quality, and ability to work a 3rd shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM). This is an on-site, five-days-a-week position with competitive hourly pay.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities are subject to change based on shifting business needs.
  • Responsible for the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in the production processes.
  • Work from verbal or written instructions through SOP's or work instructions.
  • Inspect machining operations and finished products against specified tolerances using precision measuring tools.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning.
  • Set up and operate a CNC production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Use computer-controlled equipment to select and operate laser cutting machines specialized for metal sheet stack forging.
  • Control and adjust machine settings to complete routine tasks according to specifications.
  • Inspect material and products to strict quality standards and communicate any discrepancies at any point in the production process.
  • Collaborate with engineers and support staff on R&D projects and process improvements.

Location: Burlington, MA

Shift: 3rd Shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM)

Pay: $18.22 - $27.35 + Shift Premium

What You’ll Do

This role requires 5 days onsite per week.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years in manufacturing experience.
  • Power tool experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in ISO-controlled or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with any of the following is a plus: metrology, 3D printing, robotics, CNC machining, and spreadsheet software.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE

$18.22 - $27.35 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
