Job summary

MilliporeSigma in Indianapolis is hiring a Production Technician, Processing to manufacture pharmaceuticals in a tightly controlled GMP environment. The role requires hands-on work across sterile filtration, material weighing, and equipment cleaning, with a 7:00 am to 7:30 pm schedule on a 2-2-3 rotation.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and 3+ years of GMP experience; a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Life Science is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years GMP experience in a regulated manufacturing facility.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or Life Science preferred.
• Experience reading GMP documentation.
• Experience in bulk formulation, equipment cleaning, preparation and assembly.

Responsibilities

• Comply with GMP policies and procedures.
• Perform area sanitization in a GMP facility.
• Perform filter integrity testing.
• Clean manufacturing equipment and vessels.
• Weigh raw materials (dispensing) and bulk formulation.
• Assist PT3 operators as instructed.
• Perform system maintenance PMs / procedures.
• Perform sterile filtrations, unload the autoclave, and SIP operations.
• Assist in training/directing PT1 operators.
• Operate on 7am - 7:30pm schedule.

Your Role

The Production Technician, Processing will utilize experience and training to manufacture pharmaceuticals in a strictly controlled GMP environment.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Company and GMP compliance policies/procedures.
• Perform area sanitization procedures in a GMP Manufacturing facility.
• Perform filter integrity testing.
• Clean miscellaneous pieces of manufacturing equipment and vessels.
• Perform raw material weighing (dispensing) and bulk formulation.
• Assist PT3 operators as instructed.
• Perform system maintenance PM's / procedures.
• Perform sterile filtrations, unload the autoclave, and complete Steam-in-Place operations, as deemed necessary by area management.
• Assist in training/directing PT1 operators.
• 2-2-3 schedule 7am - 7:30pm.

Physical Attributes

• Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years' work experience Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a regulated manufacturing facility.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of GMP experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or other Life Science discipline.
• Experience reading, comprehending, and discussing detailed GMP documentation.
• Experience in bulk formulation along with equipment cleaning, preparation, and assembly.

Pay Range

Pay Range for this position: $25 - $39 / hour The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses.
