Production Technician I Description: (NIGHT SHIFT)

Responsible for performing technical production duties for an organization.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Follow proper Work Instruction procedures for the task, including lab testing for conformance to specification and all aspects of product integrity.
  • Coordinate production with Shift Coach to meet production objectives.
  • Ensure proper procedures for production security for biosecurity purposes.
  • Maintain equipment as directed and keep the work area clean.
  • Operate and maintain equipment for managing materials as needed.
  • Sample product as required by Quality instructions and perform testing.
  • Perform sanitation on equipment as required.
  • Follow GMP and other quality processes and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to speak and write English at a basic level.
Supervision

Jobs supervised: Shift Coach (Production Supervisor). No direct reports.

Materials and Equipment Used
  • Forklifts and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Office machinery including calculators, computers, printers, copiers, etc.

Physical Demands
  • Prolonged standing, bending, stooping, climbing.
  • Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Normal hearing and vision, including color perception.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents.
Work Environment
  • Can be hot, humid, dusty, or cold depending on the season. May work inside or outside.
Work Hours

Night Shift, Weekends, 8 paid Holidays.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Previous food industry experience preferred.
  • Adaptable, flexible, good communication, independent work skills.
  • Recordkeeping, basic lab testing knowledge.
Non-Essential Requirements
  • Ability to understand vague instructions, adaptable, emotionally stable, effective communicator, basic math skills.
Salary

Starting at $19/hour + $1/hr shift differential + Pay4Skills.
