Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Technician is responsible for assisting in all aspects of manufacturing including, standard production/ new product development, production maintenance/ cleaning, equipment set-up/ troubleshooting, environmental monitoring, and production documentation. These tasks ensure that the highest levels of quality product are made to manufacturing specification following standard GMP and ISO compliance guidelines. Position occupants must be multi-task orientated covering all aspects of production and interpersonal relationships dictated by the Production Lead or designee.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Production Technician is responsible for assisting in all aspects of manufacturing including, standard production/ new product development, production maintenance/ cleaning, equipment set-up/ troubleshooting, environmental monitoring, and production documentation. These tasks ensure that the highest levels of quality product are made to manufacturing specification following standard GMP and ISO compliance guidelines. Position occupants must be multi-task orientated covering all aspects of production and interpersonal relationships dictated by the Production Lead or designee.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: The position requires that one work under direct supervision, exercising quality minded production decisions based on official documented guidelines and as directed by the Production Lead or designee.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production Duties: Maintain clean workstation, manufacture as directed by supervisor and production specifications, maintain production levels, assist in new product development. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously in various production areas. Achieve company goals as directed by the Production lead and supervisors. Proper use of safety equipment required for production area.
  • Equipment: Operate production equipment as directed by the supervisor and production specifications, set-up and trouble shoot required production equipment, cleaning/ maintenance of equipment; ensure the use of calibrated equipment.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor production output/quality; assist in releasing product to inventory and manufacturing environmental monitoring. Report defective material, processing methods, or supplies to the product lead on a timely fashion.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record information on processing records and travelers with 100 % accuracy of all math skills. Ensure required training is met before processing.
  • Communication: Attend meetings, seminars, and/or training sessions scheduled by manager or company, assist supervisor in training of co-workers in company policies and procedures, and develop a working knowledge of ISO standards, MSDS requirements, Employee Handbook policies, and the Company Quality Manual (M00101). Maintain a working relationship with all levels of company personnel and resolve conflicts constructively and in a professional manner.

CRITICAL DEMANDS: The critical demands of this position require that the individual stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, rotate, reach/bending forward, work overhead, have visual acuity of 20/20 (correctable) and have manual dexterity. The position also requires that the individual push, pull, lift, and carry at least 60 lbs a distance of 5 feet. The use of specialized Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required. If needed, this equipment will be supplied by IPE and is to be used as indicated on signs, postings or in your job description.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a high school education or equivalent, previous GMP manufacturing experience, have basic clean room experience, must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
