Job summary

The Production Technician performs a wide variety of responsibilities requiring a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

Duties

• Building crates and wooden boxes
• Assist with cleanup of manufacturing area, buildings, grounds, and vehicle
• Local pick-up and delivery of vehicles, material, parts and equipment
• Cleaning of parts for manufacturing
• Removal of metal chip barrels
• Assembly and disassembly of parts and equipment
• Packing products for shipment
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Operating fork truck and scissor lift
• Picking warehouse material
• Persons in this position may be exposed to dust, noise and variations in temperature, both hot and cold.
• Lifting of heavy objects during truck loading and unloading, parts washing/assembly, and daily cleanup are required.

• Carpentry experience is preferred.
• This position requires standing, bending, kneeling, and stooping. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee may be exposed to environmental factors typical of manufacturing.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, such as gloves, safety glasses and steel toe shoes.
• Must be able to safely operate a vehicle.
