Job description

This position is an essential part of Sherwin’s manufacturing team. It is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment to produce paint and coating products that meet customer specifications. The role involves performing various manufacturing tasks as assigned and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Additional Information

2nd Shift: 1:00pm-9:30pm

2nd shift premium of $0.75

This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses according to company plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally authorized to work in the country without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or distribution
• Experience monitoring gauges, dials, or machinery indicators
• Experience operating manufacturing machinery
• Experience assessing the quality of raw materials and finished products
• Experience operating packaging equipment like robotics, filling machines, and labelers
• Experience using material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or conveyor belts
• Experience with mixing or blending raw materials in an industrial setting

Responsibilities:

• Operate control systems and equipment including dispersers, pumps, valves, robotics, filling machines, and forklifts safely and efficiently
• Load and unload trucks with raw materials and finished goods
• Perform manufacturing tasks and monitor product quality
• Follow policies and standard operating procedures
• Maintain equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report issues promptly
• Keep production records and reports
• Collaborate across departments to meet production deadlines
• Manage inventory of parts and supplies
• Provide support and training to team members
• Suggest improvements to manufacturing processes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and workspace
