Our Hudson site is seeking a Production Technician to join their team on 1st shift, scheduled Monday to Thursday from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, and Friday from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.

This position involves assisting the Production team with setup and operation of equipment in a process development or limited production environment. Responsibilities may include setting up repeat work, training employees, performing preventive maintenance, documenting process conditions and results, and quality reporting. Occasionally, the individual may need to temporarily assume the role of Laser Operator depending on workload conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine duties using established procedures and standards, applying good judgment.
  • Utilize industrial machinery to set up and operate laser machining equipment according to prescribed conditions.
  • Be resourceful and adaptable, developing new approaches as needed.
  • Support start-up activities, including documentation, equipment investigation, maintenance, and safety assessments.
  • Take ownership of assigned activities, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Initiate process changes or machine service requests.
  • Perform part inspections, analyze and document data and procedures.
  • Operate laser systems per procedures or instructions under various conditions.
  • Train colleagues on processing conditions and requirements.
  • Provide process demonstrations to clients.
  • Assist with troubleshooting production issues.
Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with optic or laser equipment setup and operation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and processes.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Mechanical and analytical aptitude.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Experience programming G-code or similar languages.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Strong math skills and ability to read blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates-level technical training or equivalent.
Compensation

The role offers a competitive salary, based on experience and qualifications, with an anticipated range of $25-$30 per hour.
