Malt Products, a family owned company for over 50 years seeks Packaging Technicians for our new dried product facility expansion in Dayton, Ohio.

Position Overview:

Production Technicians are responsible for managing the entire process of brewing and producing liquid malt extract and related syrups as well as a dry powder form of product. The operation is currently a 24 hour/5day - 3 shift operation. This will be transitioning to a 24/7 operation over the next year due to continued growth. Technicians will be cross trained in all areas of operation and will rotate through the various areas of responsibility to maintain skill sets.

Position Expectations:

• Ability to work in a team environment
• Be pro-active, apply critical thinking skills and multitask
• Learn and follow all procedures and programs necessary to produce high quality food products
• Operate in a hands-on manner with a focus on schedule adherence and efficient operation of equipment within the automation of plant controls
• Follow and complete all written SOP’s, procedures, production records and process documentation
• Willing and capable of learning specific technical aspects of the production process, raw materials, and finished products
  
  

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years previous manufacturing experience in a diverse work environment
• High school diploma (or equivalent), Associates or Bachelor’s degree desirable
• Record of good attendance and professionalism
• Previous food or beverage manufacturing highly desirable and given special consideration
• Willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift highly desirable
  
  

Compensation:

• After 90-day probationary period, starting hourly rate of $30 per hour + shift premiums for 2nd and 3rd shift
• After successful completion of probationary period, fully paid health care premiums, including dependents, with 50% deductible match up to out-of-pocket maximum
• 2 weeks’ vacation pro-rated from date of hire (commensurate with experience)
• 401k, sick days, and 6 paid holidays.
