Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the MA facilities. You will work with engineering and operations to install equipment and optimize maintenance across sites.

Key duties include managing HVAC and gas detection systems, with travel between MA facilities about four times per week. 8:00 am–4:30 pm with rotating Saturdays; qualification in wastewater and related certifications preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of job-related work experience in commercial HVAC.
  • 5-10 years of job-related work experience with gas detection systems.
  • Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Able to travel locally between different MKS facilities.
  • M-F, 8am - 4:30pm, with rotating Saturdays.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the MA MKS Facilities safe, energy efficient and functional for manufacturing and design.
  • Install new equipment and processes in collaboration with engineering and operations.
  • Maximize maintenance needs across different MKS facilities.
  • Travel between facilities averaging 4 times a week.

Job description

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Facilities Technician at MKS Instruments, you will partner with the different engineering and operational groups in the MA facilities. In this role, you will report to the MA Senior Facilities Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By: Keeping and making the MA MKS Facilities safer, energy efficient and functional for the manufacturing and design of complex semiconductor tooling. You will work with engineering, operations and facilities to install new equipment and processes. You will help to maximize the required maintenance needs of the different systems at the different MKS facilities.

Travel Requirements

Between the different facilities, averaging 4 times a week.

Gas Detection systems
  • Gas Detection systems. daily operations, calibrations and expanding the system as needed.
HVAC Systems
  • HVAC Systems, ensure the proper operation and maintenance of the different systems in the facilities.
Building management systems
  • Building management systems, ensure that the system is functional and tracking the different HVAC systems properly.
Skills You Bring
  • Detail oriented.

  • Problem solving Wastewater experience/certification highly desired.
  • Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • 5-10 years of job-related work experience in commercial HVAC

Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay Range: $26.11 - 44.18 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
  • Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
