Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Production Team Partner to join our team in Newark, NJ. This entry-level role supports laundering of soiled items and requires standing for an 8-hour shift, lifting up to 30 lbs, and clear communication with management.

We offer on-the-job training, a 5-day work week with Saturdays and Sundays off, and benefits including 401K with company match, health insurance, and more. Work locations include Newark, Whippany, and surrounding sites.

Qualifications

• High school education and/or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly with management.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using American standard units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Responsibilities

• Count soiled items coming back from customer stops.
• Ensure all soiled items are accounted for to get properly laundered, folded, and returned to the customer.
• Report processes accurately.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow all safety policies, HACCP and medical guidelines.
• Perform other duties as described by area supervisor or management.
