Job summary

Universal Pure is seeking a Production Team Member for the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) to support High-Pressure Processing and Value-Added Services. You will follow directions from the Line Lead and shift Supervisor, rotate along the line, and perform packing, loading, labeling, and line sanitation.

This role requires ability to work in a cold, wet environment, lift up to 45 lbs, operate forklifts, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Refrigeration, warehouse, production or manufacturing experience
• MHE/Forklift experience
• Ability to perform basic mental math
• Ability to communicate in English (Speak, read, and write)
• Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Ability to effectively work with others and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a cold/wet environment
• Ability to lift 10-35 lbs repetitively and up to 45 lbs occasionally
• Ability to push/pull up to 250 lbs on rollers occasionally
• Ability to stand for 10-12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Pack and unpack product on the line.
• Load and unload carriers for the HPP machine.
• Stack and build pallets.
• Label and code date product.
• Sort product on the line to remove off-spec items.
• Clean and sanitize line parts during changeovers.
• Adhere to safety PPE requirements.
• Rotate to other lines or assignments if needed.

The Production Team Member will follow the direction given by the Line Lead and shift Supervisor. This position may rotate down the line throughout their shift. This Job Description covers both High-Pressure Processing and Value-Added Services.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities

• Packing and unpacking product
• Loading and unloading carriers for the HPP machine
• Stacking and building pallets
• Labeling and code dating product
• Sorting product on the line to remove off-spec product to a rework or disposal container
• Cleaning and Sanitizing parts of the line during certain product changeovers. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment for parts of the work assigned (safety glasses at a minimum, required at all times on the shop floor).
• Other Sanitation duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
• A Production Team Member should expect to be rotated off the line to another line or assignment if a Machine goes down for necessary maintenance or other reason.

Our Night Shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. (2 days on; 2 days off; 3 days on; then 2 days off; 2 days on; 3 days off - repats every two weeks)

Working Conditions

• This role operates in a cold/wet refrigerated environment (around 34 degrees F) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for 10-12 hours a day.
• This is largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required.
