Job summary

Universal Pure in Georgia is seeking a Production Team Member to operate in a cold, fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be packing, loading, labeling, and coordinating line activities while maintaining safety and quality standards on night shifts.

The role requires a high school diploma, the ability to work in a cold environment, and strong teamwork. Expect 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule with opportunities across lines and duties.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Packing and unpacking product.
• Loading and unloading carriers for the HPP machine.
• Stacking and building pallets.
• Labeling and code dating product.
• Sorting product on the line to remove off-spec product to a rework or disposal container.
• Cleaning and sanitizing parts of the line during product changeovers with PPE.
• Other sanitation duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Rotate off the line to another line or assignment if a Machine goes down for maintenance.

Position Purpose:

The Production Team Member will follow the direction given by the Line Lead and shift Supervisor. This position may rotate down the line throughout their shift. This Job Description covers both High-Pressure Processing and Value-Added Services.

Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities:

• Packing and unpacking product
• Loading and unloading carriers for the HPP machine
• Stacking and building pallets
• Labeling and code dating product
• Sorting product on the line to remove off-spec product to a rework or disposal container
• Cleaning and Sanitizing parts of the line during certain product changeovers. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment for parts of the work assigned (safety glasses at a minimum, required at all times on the shop floor).
• Other Sanitation duties as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
• A Production Team Member should expect to be rotated off the line to another line or assignment if a Machine goes down for necessary maintenance or other reason.

Our Night Shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 2-2-3 schedule. (2 days on; 2 days off; 3 days on; then 2 days off; 2 days on; 3 days off - repats every two weeks)

Working Conditions

• T his role operates in a cold/wet refrigerated environment (around 34 degrees F) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for 10-12 hours a day.
• This is largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required.
