Job summary

Central Illinois Mfg Company is seeking a Production Operator to assemble filters and components on the production line, working under direct supervision. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to policies, with rotation across facility sections based on demand.

  • Maintain pace across all work areas and learn SQDC metrics.

Job description

Under direct supervision of the Production Supervisors, assembles filters, filter elements and various components of the filters either partially or completely, working on a production line or on the shop floor by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with all Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Understand and comply with all Attendance Policies
  • Understand and comply with all Dress Code Polices
  • Operators are responsible for the quality of their own work
  • Operators are responsible for communicating to their supervisor about any issue
  • Operators are responsible for recording and reporting scrap accurately
  • Operators are responsible for keeping pace in all work areas
  • Operators are responsible for learning and understanding safety, quality, cost metrics (SQDC) and how it affects the company
  • Operators are responsible for paying close attention to detail
  • Operators must be able to adapt to change and rotate to different sections of the facility based off demand

Skills and Requirements:

  • Ability to work as a team

  • Ability to perform operations using units of measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to read, understand and follow work instructions (control plan documents)
  • Ability to troubleshot and problem solve

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to regularly lift 25lbs up to 50lbs and team lift up to 100lbs
  • Ability to have close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and to adjust focus (Corrective lens are allowed)
  • Ability to withstand loud noise levels
  • Ability to withstand fumes or airborne particles occasionally
  • Ability to work in a non-temperature controlled facility
  • No contact lenses are allowed on the Production Floor

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1-month related experience

  • None
