GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:

Basic level of injection molding machine operation following demonstrated directions. Operates one or more machines under prescribed conditions after others complete set-up. Work includes cycling the machine, removing scrap material from the parts, checking molded parts by gaging and visual inspection, as prescribed. Refers all deficiencies to supervisors or leads.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic mold press operations.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year manufacturing-related experience.
• Ability to follow demonstrated directions.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to read written instructions, use simple math, and operate basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and national criminal background check.

• Should be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
