Job summary

Astemo is hiring a Production Team Member for the 2nd shift in Berea, Kentucky. You will assemble components according to work instructions, check quality with gauges, and support smooth operations during the weekend AM shift. Overtime may be required on Fridays.

The role requires a high school diploma, ability to read and follow instructions, basic math, and good manual dexterity. PPE and a safe, organized 5S work environment are provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing or equipment assembly preferred.
  • Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions and complete reports.
  • Basic math skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations by following standard work instructions or verbal guidance.
  • Use gauges and indicators to check component dimensions and part quality.
  • Identify and report product or workmanship defects.
  • Change simple parts and fixtures to support product changeovers.
  • Record data to support production, quality, and materials tracking.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace using 5S principles.
  • Comply with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 quality and environmental standards.
  • Proactively support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Communicate equipment or process issues to support staff or leadership.

Position Summary

We’re seeking a Productin Team Member to join our production team on the 2nd shift. In this role, you'll assemble components according to work instructions, ensure quality standards are met, and help keep our operations running smoothly during our weekend AM shift.

Shift: 2nd Shift - 19:00 to 05:30 Monday to Thursday; overtime may be required on Fridays.

Location: Berea, KY

Key Responsibilities

  • Must be able to frequently bend, lift (up to 40 lbs), and stand for long periods
  • Visual acuity (with correction) to read instructions and inspect parts
  • Must pass pre-employment assessments and background checks

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Physical Requirements
  • Frequently walking and using hands to handle parts or tools
  • Occasional sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, or reaching
  • Regularly lifting up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs
Work Environment

Plant-based manufacturing setting

PPE including safety glasses, hat, and steel-toe shoes required in designated areas
