Job summary

ASTEMO AMERICAS, INC. is seeking a General Associate to join our production team. You will assemble components according to work instructions, ensure quality standards are met, and help keep our operations running smoothly during the weekend AM shift.

You will work with gauges to check dimensions, report defects, and participate in continuous improvement while maintaining a clean 5S workspace and complying with ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or equipment assembly preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions and reports.
• Basic math skills required.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments and background checks.

Position Summary

• Able to read, understand, and follow written instructions and complete reports

• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Must be able to frequently bend, lift (up to 40 lbs), and stand for long periods
• Visual acuity (with correction) to read instructions and inspect parts
• Must pass pre-employment assessments and background checks

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Physical Requirements

• Frequently walking and using hands to handle parts or tools
• Occasional sitting, standing, kneeling, climbing, or reaching
• Regularly lifting up to 10 lbs, frequently up to 40 lbs, and occasionally up to 50 lbs

Work Environment

Plant-based manufacturing setting Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hat, and steel-toe shoes required in designated areas.
