Overview

Production Team Member 2 - Assembly

Continental has been a recognized world leader in the development of aviation products for over 115 years. Our aircraft piston engine leadership stretches from the A-70 radial engine, which established a new level of smoothness and reliability, to the engines for the Voyager aircraft, which successfully circumnavigated the globe without refueling. We were the first to introduce the horizontally opposed cylinder configuration to help increase aircraft speeds and the first to introduce both fuel injection and turbocharging in general aviation aircraft. Responsibilities

• Assemble engines and/or engine sub-assemblies such as magnetos, fuel pumps, throttles, harnesses, etc.
• Acquire, verify, assemble, and check parts as required.
• Communicate any issues found during the process to relevant personnel.
• Identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
• Record keeping as required. (Build book, CAPP, Router)
• Perform safe and ergonomically conscious work with respect to OSHA, JSA, and PPE.
• Follow documented build book processes.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
