Job summary

SPP Pumps in Norcross, GA is seeking a hands-on technician to conduct hydraulic and electrical tests ensuring reliable pump performance across models. You will disassemble and assemble pumps, set up and operate lathes for impeller trimming, and balance impellers to tight tolerances.

Strong analytical skills and teamwork are essential. The role requires a High School diploma and 2+ years in manufacturing or pump testing.

Qualifications

Position Summary

Conduct a variety of hydraulic and electrical tests designed to reliably assure predictable pump performance.

Essential Functions

• Understanding of Manufacturing processes.
• Dismantling and assembly of pumps HSC, KFL, KP & VT Pumps.
• Set-up and operate lathe equipment to perform required impeller trim operations.
• Ability to perform balancing of impellers on balancing machine as per guidelines and procedures.
• Analyze and diagnose if there is any problem in assembly of pumps.
• Study of Pump performance processes.
• Pump test set up for all pump models.
• Conduct performance test and analyze data.
• Study of VT Pump assembly and inspection processes.
• Assembly of Pump and testing.
• Dismantling of Pumps.
• Study of Electric and Diesel set assembly processes.
• Assembly of Electrical set.
• Assembly of Diesel set.
• Engraving of TAG.
• Maintain 5S and safety.
• Cleans and maintains an orderly work area.
