Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking motivated individuals for a stable Operations + Manufacturing role in Idaho. We are growing and offer lifetime careers in a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring production, performing light maintenance with maintenance team, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace around equipment such as Edger, Resaw, and Trimmer. High school diploma or GED required; prior production or sawmill experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Safety oriented and aware of PPE and procedures.
• Ability to learn and use basic computer systems.
• Comfortable working in a production environment and handling wood pieces.

Responsibilities

• Monitors equipment and lumber flow for issues that could interrupt production.
• Works with maintenance personnel to perform light preventative maintenance.
• Responsible for operation/maintenance and cleanliness over assigned equipment including: Edger, Resaw, Trimmer, Sorter/Stacker, Stacker outfeed, Small/Large Debarker, Bin Tender.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Education and Continuous Training

Education/Experience/Certification

• High school diploma or GED
• Production experience a plus
• 1 year of experience working in manufacturing a plus
• Sawmill experience a plus

• Ability to learn computer systems
• Must be a safety minded individual who is comfortable working in a production environment.
• Lifting and physical activity is required for this position, must be able to move boards and wood pieces.
