Job summary

Herff Jones, Inc. in Warwick is seeking a Production Team Member to perform various production tasks and ensure quality in a fast-paced setting. You will learn and operate different processes, maintain accuracy in records, and contribute to a clean, 5S workplace.

The role requires basic English reading/writing, comfort with Microsoft Office, and willingness to work overtime during peak seasons. Training is provided, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

• Previous manufacturing experience helpful, but not required – training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned production tasks such as injection, polishing, stone setting, plating, or inspection according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure products meet quality standards through careful handling and attention to detail.
• Follow daily work assignments and complete tasks in a timely manner to support the production line.
• Accurately record production information in Microsoft Office or other company systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S and lean practices where applicable.
• Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and correctly.
• Identify and report any quality, safety, or equipment concerns to a supervisor.
• Assist in cross-training and support other production areas as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Support and comply with all company safety, environmental, and HR policies.

What You’ll Be Doing On A Daily Basis:

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Previous manufacturing experience helpful, but not required – training will be provided.
• Ability to learn new skills and adapt to different production areas.
• Enjoys working with hands, tools, and small parts with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work overtime or Saturdays as required during peak seasons.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team

Education / Certifications Required:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, or reaching during the workday.
• Good vision and color vision required for detailed inspection and quality work.
• Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail during repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
