Job summary

Parker Trutec in Urbana, OH is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee multiple shift projects, ensure safe, efficient work, and deliver accurate results on tight deadlines.

You will lead associates, verify parts and fixtures daily, train setters, coordinate with Production Control, Maintenance, Furnace Operators, Engineering and Managers, and promote 5S across all plant areas. Overtime may be required to meet customer needs.

• Good analytical skills; good written, and verbal communication skills
• Record of dependability and good attendance
• Work with a high degree of accuracy
• Must have safe forklift skills
• Strong leadership abilities and work well with all associates

Responsibilities

• Lead Associates to ensure they are working in a safe manner
• Identify all parts, verify part numbers, and production numbers
• Verify daily that fixtures are in good working condition and sufficient for jobs
• Set and reset parts/loads according to processing standards
• Train setters and deseters to perform the setting/desetting function and spot bad parts
• Ensure product is moved safely and promptly through the plant
• Communicate issues with Production Control, Maintenance, Furnace Operators, Engineering and Managers
• Complete daily checklists and follow the PC Chart
• Prepare area for the next shift
• Work overtime as required
• Promote and implement 5S in all plant areas
• Additional duties as needed by Parker Trutec and customers
