Job summary

Danfoss Climate Solutions is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee a on-site production team in Tallahassee, FL. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements, coaching employees and coordinating with supervisors to meet daily targets.

You will develop team capabilities, lead problem-solving activities, and foster a culture of accountability and teamwork. On-site role with opportunities for growth and cross-functional exposure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and root-cause analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a production team by assigning work, balancing priorities, and driving KPIs for safety, quality, delivery and productivity.
• Coach, train, and develop employees through hands-on guidance, feedback, cross-training and performance monitoring.
• Facilitate root cause problem solving (RCPS) and continuous improvement using lean tools, 5S and standardized processes.
• Monitor adherence to quality, safety and procedures while addressing production and equipment issues.
• Provide day-to-day leadership as a contact point when supervisors are unavailable and ensure cross-team communication.

The Impact You'll Make

As a ProductionTeam Leader, you'll play a key role in helping the manufacturing team achieve its goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. You'll be a hands-on leader who supports daily operations, develops team members, and drives continuous improvement across the production floor.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and support a production team by assigning work, balancing priorities, and helping achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

• Coach, train, and develop employees through hands-on guidance, feedback, cross-training, and performance monitoring to strengthen team capability and engagement.

• Facilitate root cause problem solving (RCPS) and continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing tools, 5S, and standardized processes to eliminate obstacles and improve results.

• Monitor adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures while addressing production, equipment, and quality-related issues as they arise.

• Serve as an extension of the Supervisor or Shift Leader by providing day-to-day leadership, supporting communication across teams, and acting as the designated point of contact when leadership is unavailable.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience, ideally within a production environment similar to the area being led.

• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective coaching, training, and performance feedback.

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive corrective actions in a manufacturing setting.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
