Job summary

AV is seeking a Production Team Lead to test and assemble Small Unmanned Aerial Systems in our manufacturing facility, following released engineering drawings and assembly instructions using our work order system. The role often serves as facilitator and lead, mentoring less experienced technicians.

The position involves mechanical subassembly work, final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles, and rigorous in‑process testing to ensure high quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years in manufacturing/production in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly.
• Experience with hand tools and power/air tools; soldering experience.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies mechanically using hand and power tools; may solder.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineering to improve assembly documents and processes.
• Work with manufacturing engineers to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce costs.
• Ensure work orders and paperwork are completed as performed.
• Train other technicians on assembly processes.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Exercise initiative and ownership of assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
