Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a management-related field preferred; or equivalent combination of six years of technical and supervisory experience with additional education beyond high school.
• Experience supervising in manufacturing, industrial, or heavy industry environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Learn, accept, and live Century Aluminum’s Safety Mission Statement.
• Provide direction for the Production Department to maximize safety, quality, productivity, and cost control.
• Train and develop the team to meet objectives and exceed customer expectations.
• Promote ownership and accountability at the floor level and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment; support safety committee activities.
• Lead safety programs including investigations, inspections, safety meetings, and job observations.
• Collaborate with other plant crew leaders to maximize productivity and value-added output.
