Job summary

Elite Comfort Solutions, a Leggett & Platt Company, is seeking a Lead Person to direct production activities across multiple work cells in a manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes supervision, safety, quality control, and adherence to production schedules.

The Lead Person will set up areas, train staff, monitor orders, and ensure accurate measurements and documentation, while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform this job.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Good mechanical aptitude is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set-up of production areas or startup of equipment as necessary.
• Inform supervisor of the status of various production orders.
• Direct workforce assigned by the supervisor.
• Follow production schedule ensuring production standards are met.
• Check measurements and quality of all materials and completion of quality records.
• Correction of quality issues within the department as assigned by supervisor.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment.
• Responsible for the training of employees and new hires as assigned by the supervisor.
• Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned.
• Record material usage where required.
• Accountable for identification of safety hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
