Job summary

The Production Team Lead at PEI Genesis in South Bend, IN, guides the assembly of high quality connectors, driving the lowest cycle times to meet facility promises. You will work closely with the production manager, assistant manager, fellow leads, and team members to promote quality and throughput across work orders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in the PEI Production department.
• Achievement of competency level in manufacturing connectors
• Strong understanding of production workflows, work order processing, and manufacturing work instructions.
• Comprehensive Understanding of Facility Promise Dates, cycle time, and quality metrics.
• Working knowledge of ISO/AS9100 quality system requirements.
• Understanding of FIFO, Kanban, and 5S principles.
• Basic knowledge of the ASW system
• Commitment to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to manufacture high quality connectors with the lowest cycle time.
• Collaborate with the production manager, assistant production manager, fellow production team leads, and team members.
• Promote quality and efficient throughput of all work orders within their areas.
