Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking a hands-on Night Shift Production Team Lead to support daily production and assembly operations at the Ruther Glen, VA facility. This night shift role includes a 5:00pm-3:30am Mon-Thur schedule with a $1/hr differential and OT opportunities.

The role leads a team of assemblers, providing on-the-floor guidance, monitoring quality, and coaching colleagues while promoting safety and compliance with standards. Benefits and comprehensive coverage accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of assembly, manufacturing, or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily tasks, assignments, and priorities for a team of assemblers.
• Provide hands-on support and technical guidance during mechanical, electrical, and systems assembly activities.
• Monitor work quality and verify compliance with assembly standards and specifications.
• Identify defects or rework needs and assist with corrective actions.
• Support troubleshooting of routine and moderately complex assembly issues.
• Communicate schedule updates, material needs, and production risks to leadership.
• Train, coach, and mentor new or less experienced team members.
• Promote safe work practices and enforce PPE and safety requirements.

Our client is seeking a hands-on Night Shift Production Team Lead to support daily production and assembly operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment serving critical infrastructure and modular systems projects at their facility in Ruther Glen, VA. This is a night shift position.

Shift Options:

• 5:00pm-3:30am Mon-Thur (includes a $1/hr shift differential)
• OT opportunities available

• Coordinate daily tasks, assignments, and priorities for a team of assemblers.

• Pay of up to $29/hr (dependent upon experience)
• 2 weeks of PTO per year + 9 observed holidays

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years of assembly, manufacturing, or related experience required.

Physical Requirements & Abilities

• Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to relocate a 12-foot stepladder without assistance.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 60 feet, including scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
• Ability to walk, climb, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead on a routine basis.
• Good vision (corrected vision acceptable), color recognition, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
