Job summary

Central Moloney (CMI) seeks an Assembly Team Lead for our Panama City, FL floor. You will guide a team of assembly technicians, keep production moving, coach day-to-day, and drive quality and productivity on your shift.

This hands-on leadership path offers real growth into leadership roles, not a dead end. The role requires 2+ years in assembly, strong reading of orders/blueprints, good communication, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in an assembly/manufacturing environment.
• Able to read work orders, blueprints, and assembly drawings.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily assembly line operations to meet production schedules.
• Monitor output for compliance with standards, orders, blueprints, and specs.
• Train and onboard new assembly technicians with best practices.
• Provide on-the-floor coaching and real-time feedback.
• Identify bottlenecks, equipment, or quality concerns and report to supervisor.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE compliance.
• Maintain production records including output, scrap, and shift reports.
• Support workflow planning, line balancing, and staffing adjustments.
• Motivate the team to meet daily targets and pursue continuous improvement.
• Assume additional duties as assigned.

Title: Team Lead - Assembly

Work Location: Panama City, FL (Near Airport)

Reports To: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Shift: 1st - Monday-Thursday, 5:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Please Note: Due to current production demands, this position currently requires mandatory overtime, including Friday and Saturday shifts. This schedule is expected to continue through the end of the year but is subject to change based on business needs.

Central Moloney is looking for a hands-on Assembly Team Lead to guide a team of assembly technicians on our Panama City production floor. You'll be the point person keeping the line moving, coaching technicians day to day, and helping drive quality and productivity on your shift. About The Role

As an Assembly Team Lead at Central Moloney, you'll play a critical hands-on leadership role on our Panama City production floor. You'll be responsible for guiding a team of assembly technicians through daily production goals while maintaining the quality, safety, and efficiency standards that CMI is known for. This isn't just a support role — you're the person your team looks to when they need direction, and the person leadership relies on to keep the line moving.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily assembly line operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements
• Monitor assembly output to ensure compliance with CMI standards, work orders, blueprints, and product specifications
• Train and onboard new assembly technicians, sharing best practices and reinforcing proper technique and process adherence
• Conduct on-the-floor coaching and provide real-time performance feedback to team members
• Identify and communicate production bottlenecks, equipment issues, or quality concerns to the Production Supervisor promptly
• Enforce all safety protocols, including PPE compliance and hazard awareness
• Maintain accurate production records, including output tracking, scrap logs, and shift reports
• Collaborate with the Production Supervisor to support workflow planning, line balancing, and staffing adjustments
• Motivate team members to meet daily targets while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Assume additional duties as assigned

What You Bring

• Minimum 2 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing production environment
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and assembly drawings
• Prior experience in a lead, mentor, or supervisory capacity preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to give clear direction on a fast-paced production floor
• Analytical mindset with a focus on quality, efficiency, and problem-solving
• Commitment to safety, dependability, and punctuality
• Basic math and computer skills for recordkeeping and reporting

Key Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, with the ability to stand, bend, and work in varying conditions for extended periods on the production floor
• Availability for flexible hours and overtime as production demands require
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug & alcohol screening
