Production Team Lead Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead, coordinate and prioritize the operations tasks directed by the supervisor
Communicate and execute work assignments to meet set expectations by department and customer requirements
Communicate with and perform as an assistant for all staff and departments such as the supervisors, support staff, leadership, and front-line employees
Communicate with customers and their needs
Prepare duty-related paperwork
Escalate work-related and interpersonal issues to leadership as needed
Perform quality checks and report failures to supervisor.
Assist and coordinate training for new and current associates
Supervise employees to ensure they are following Safety and Quality processes and regulations
Be a resource for Safety, QA and Company processes and procedures
Handle any minor tasks related to duties of the position
Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role
Production Team Lead Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High School Diploma/GED required
Six months material handling equipment/forklift experience preferred
Experience in leading, supervising and training associates preferred
Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems preferred
Experience with the refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment preferred
Experience with computers and Microsoft Office preferred
Experience following safety procedures preferred
Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes potential overtime, weekends and different work schedules
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Production Team Lead Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
This is largely a static role with standing, however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required. This would require the ability to lift 10-35 lbs. repetitively and up to 45 lbs. occasionally.
This role operates in a wet and cold/refrigerated environment (between 38 and -20 degrees Fahrenheit) located within a manufacturing, warehousing, and production-type facility. Must be able to withstand cold temperatures for duration of shift.
