Job summary

Carbon is seeking a Production Systems/Test Engineer in Santa Clara, CA to lead troubleshooting of end‑of‑line systems and build robust test processes that improve production efficiency and product quality.

You will drive root-cause analysis, develop dashboards, and lead PVT for new products, translating findings into actionable work instructions and documentation. A strong hardware/software background and 5+ years in manufacturing are preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years in a manufacturing environment with shifting priorities.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of complex electro‑mechanical or optical systems.
• Structured root cause analysis (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, or similar).
• Experience building KPI dashboards and applying statistical tools.
• Translate findings into clear work instructions and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Own root cause analysis and troubleshooting of complex systems using data and MES tools.
• Serve as a technical resource to rapidly unblock manufacturing personnel.
• Partner with Design, Systems, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain dashboards to track KPIs and trends.
• Lead Product Validation Testing (PVT) for new products and bring‑up.
• Translate technical findings into updated work instructions and documentation.
