Job summary

Bolsan is seeking a Production Support Operator for the second shift to perform cleaning, marking, packaging, deburring and grinding of parts using tumblers and sandblasters. Materials include aluminum, stainless steel, polyimide, phenolic, fiberglass, composites, titanium, brass, and copper.

The role requires basic math, English communication, data entry, and neat handwriting. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with 1–3 months manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Ability to input data into a computer terminal.
  • Neat handwriting for Manufacturing Plans and forms.
  • HS diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 months manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

  • Clean parts, perform part marking and packaging.
  • Deburr and/or grind parts using files, grinding wheels, tumblers, and deburring cloths.
  • Operate tumbler and sand blaster as required.
  • Follow lean philosophy and 6S procedures daily.
  • Work well with others and be flexible with shift changes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Production Support Operator Second Shift

A Production Support Operator will perform a variety of production support functions including cleaning parts, part marking, packaging, deburring and/or grinding parts, operating a tumbler and a sand blaster. The stock material may consist of aluminum, stainless steel, polyimide or phenolic, fiber glass, composite material, titanium, brass, and copper.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • In accordance with instructions on Manufacturing Plan, will clean parts, perform part marking and packaging, deburr and/or grind parts using file, grinding wheel, tumbler and deburring cloth.
  • Must be able to get along well with others.
  • Must be able to work scheduled shift and meet company attendance requirements; must be flexible enough to stay late or modify work hours on short notice, if production deadlines require it.
  • Must be able to perform the job safely; must comply with company safety rules and procedures.
  • Must follow the lean philosophy and practice the 6 S’s on a daily basis
  • Additional Duties, as assigned.
Requirements:

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

  • Have good basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals).
  • Have good verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to input data into a computer terminal.
  • Have neat penmanship for completing Manufacturing Plans, etc.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; prefer one to three months experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to be detail oriented and able to multi-task several functions.
  • Ability to organize work to optimize efficiency.
