To be successful as a Production Support Engineer, you should:
Be highly focused to ensure mission critical applications are available uninterruptedly, performant, and resilient through preemptive response approach
Craft innovative solutions leveraging latest technologies to reduce toil, automate repetitive tasks
Leverage metrics and SLOs, Service Level Objectives to drive strategies which improves stability
Ensure scalability of the applications through automated processes and avoid manual intervention in production environment
Work together with development teams to ensure speed and stability
Other highly valued skills include:
Deep Linux/Unix knowledge along with shell scripting and Experience in cloud platforms like AWS
Proficiency in database guidance of Mongo DB or other warehouse technologies
Excellent knowledge about scheduling tools like AutoSys and monitoring and observability tools like Geneos ITRS
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
This role is located in Whippany, NJ office.
