Job DetailsJob Location: Pinellas Park, FL 33782JOB SUMMARY: The production support associate is responsible for supporting all production efforts. This material handling position will utilize various methods of assembly and product movement. As an hourly production team member, you will need to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble and finish a variety of products following standard work instructions and processes, including related drawings, while producing a good quality product within the approved time standards.
  • Set up, operate and maintain all equipment to meet production schedules and comply with manufacturing procedures related to the operation.
  • Perform cycle counts as necessary
  • Fasten or assemble small to medium sized parts.
  • Work in a team environment embedded in lean manufacturing methodology
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Store and/or move materials within the work environment as needed, utilizing a forklift, hand truck, or pallet jack to transport raw and finished goods in the processing area
  • Ability to be cross trained in other departmental functions as needed, Including machine operation
  • Record batch and quality control results and other related, necessary recordkeeping.
  • Inspect product for quality and maintain quality standards.
  • Interface with Team and produce products in accordance with production schedule.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, as needed, in designated areas.
  • Adherence to attendance policies.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide input and verify that documented procedures are adequate and accurate.
  • Understand and use your work/job instructions.
  • Understand our quality and environmental policies and how they apply to you
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (IMS) RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Participate at discussions to improve work processes in an effort to streamline production.
  • Understand finance.
  • Keep records and data on procurement.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education and Experience: Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Forklift experience
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
  • Use of a template or jig for use in alignment of product being made.
  • Various pieces for assembly.
  • Work Instructions.
  • Record- keeping documentation.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Able to lift or move 20 lbs on a regular basis and 50 lbs occasionally with the option to use a pallet jack or other related equipment.
  • Ability to push or pull 50 lbs using appropriate tools like a pallet jack.
  • Ability to read and understand verbal directions, including numbers with the ability to listen to and understand information/ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Use hands and arms in installing, positioning, moving materials and manipulating things.
  • Assembly requires repetitive motions.
  • Assembly requires standing in one place, on a concrete floor.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE ie: steel-toed shoes in manufacturing areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Industrial work environment with heavy machinery, moderate noise level and hazardous chemicals.
  • Work is indoors, in a climate-controlled setting.
