Job summary

LiDestri Foods is seeking a Production Support role to assist with ingredient delivery, debris removal, and clean-in-process in a fast-paced manufacturing facility in New York. The role involves handling products on the production line, packaging materials, and maintaining GMP standards.

Ideal candidates will be able to work safely in a loud environment, wear required PPE, and perform duties in a team-oriented setting with attention to detail and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net if applicable, Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid resistant footwear.
• Ability to apply basic computer skills and simple math reasoning.
• Ability to use various tools such as band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knives and scales.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and keep up with daily production demands.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate ingredients to the production area.
• Handle products on the production line.
• Package materials for shipment or further processing.
• Box and unbox goods, including debris removal and cleanliness tasks.
• Assist with CIP (clean-in-process) activities as required.
• Relieve operators as needed and perform SOPs for assigned areas.

Position Summary

Provide support and assistance to production workers, including ensuring accurate ingredients are delivered to the production area, removal of debris, and clean-in-process (CIP).

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate ingredients to production area
• Handle products on production line
• Package materials
• Boxing and unboxing of goods to include debris removal
• Assist with CIPs, as required
• Relieve operator, as needed
• Performs SOP’s for assigned work areas
• Maintain GMP standards at and area machinery
• Maintain accurate records
• Works in a safe manner consistent with Company policies and regulations
• Report food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action

Required Education, Skills & Experience

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable), Kevlar gloves, safety training, and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)
• Ability to apply basic computer and communication skills, math functions, and reasoning
• Ability to use various tools (band cutters, dump tanks, tote hoists, knife and scales)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and keep up with daily demands of production

Working Conditions

• Constant exposure to extreme loud noises.
• Constant work in high places and near moving mechanical parts.
• Constant standing and moving by foot.
• Constant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environment.
• Frequent lifting/carrying <50 pounds, reaching and use of fingers.
• Frequent use of hot/cold water hoses.
• Frequent reaching/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneeling/bending.
• Occasionally lifting >50 pounds.
• Potential exposure to caustic chemicals.
