Job description

Position Summary

Shift: weekend night shifts (5:45 PM to 6:00 AM) on a 4/3 AWS Shift Schedule.

This position leads a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, promoting safety, quality, productivity, employee engagement, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include achieving manufacturing results, communicating job expectations, planning and monitoring job results, coaching employees, enforcing policies, recruiting, onboarding, training, mentoring, ensuring quality standards, preventing defects, and coordinating with management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily workflow to ensure uninterrupted production and adhere to safety standards and manufacturing instructions; identify, investigate, and resolve delays in shift operations, ensuring shipping deadlines are met.
  • Ensure responsible usage of labor resources according to management strategy.
  • Complete all required reports and data entry into the manufacturing system; analyze production records.
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations; handle discipline and termination according to company policy.
  • Facilitate maintenance and repairs to equipment.
  • Work with the Operations Manager and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with Operations departments, Process Engineering, Equipment and Controls, Project Management, and others to transfer tools, processes, documentation, and training to manufacturing.
  • Communicate with and assist other manufacturing shifts as needed.
  • Ensure that quality standards and processes are upheld; support issue resolution including root cause investigation and corrective action tracking.
  • Assist management in budget development and maintenance of electronic files.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and follow safety and environmental regulations.
  • Demonstrate CelLink’s culture of integrity, teamwork, self‑discipline, and professional competence; perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 3 years managing production teams in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Full‑time, exempt position. Desk/office located on the manufacturing floor. Work schedules may include alternative work schedules, extended shifts, weekends, and additional hours as needed. Travel to other CelLink sites, vendors, or customer locations may be required. Periodic exposure to high noise, moving mechanical parts, nuisance dust, and common industrial chemicals. Appropriate PPE is provided and required. The position requires regular presence on the manufacturing floor, standing and walking for prolonged periods, monitoring operations, supporting employees, troubleshooting production issues, conducting observations, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and production standards.

Employees must stand, walk, reach, grasp, or move objects as part of normal activities. They may occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds independently, or up to 50 pounds with assistance. Vision required for reading documents, operating equipment safely, and visually inspecting materials.

PPE

May be required to wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, bump‑caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, and clean‑room frocks while adhering to prescribed safety procedures. Ear plugs are recommended in high‑noise areas meeting OSHA requirements.
