Basic Qualifications:

Job Summary:

This role provides leadership in manufacturing excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction and continuous improvement in quality, productivity, cycle time, delivery, and cash flow. Supervises and coordinates activities of team leaders and workers engaged in production, aligning departmental activities with plant goals and business metrics.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, work rules, and departmental requirements.
  • Record data manually or via computer, and inspect castings and products for conformance to specifications.
  • Monitor machines and equipment for malfunctions, and direct repairs and adjustments.
  • Study production schedules, estimate worker hours, and explain policies to employees, ensuring compliance with EHS responsibilities.
  • Conduct employee training, facilitate incident prevention, and perform self-inspections for compliance.
  • Explain specifications and assign duties; adjust work procedures to meet schedules.
  • Recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, and quality.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems, motivate workers, and maintain records.
  • Coordinate material requisitions and activities with other departments.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and make recommendations regarding employee status.
  • Handle grievances, conduct performance evaluations, and administer corrective actions.
  • Train and mentor team leaders, and ensure attendance policies are followed.
  • Maintain departmental performance metrics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
