Position Objective

The Production Supervisor is responsible for completing the production schedule efficiently with no safety, food safety issues, or quality deviations, utilizing trained and empowered personnel. The role focuses on four key operational criteria: Safety, Quality, Efficiency, and Analysis. Working closely with the Plant Manager, Director of Quality, and Safety Manager, the Supervisor will develop tactics to achieve strategic company goals.

The Supervisor acts as a Team Coach, developing daily and weekly operational plans and supporting tactics to meet departmental goals.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities for Success

• Advanced knowledge of OSHA safety standards and effective protocols
• Understanding of Food Safety/GMP standards and policies, with ability to apply them
• Knowledge of Employment Laws and Regulations, with tact and professionalism in sensitive situations
• Strong leadership skills
• Highly organized with effective time management
• Ability to apply mathematical analysis to manufacturing situations
• Ability to interpret data, formulate hypotheses, develop corrective actions, and analyze results
• Effective interpretation of company policy for consistent, legally defensible decisions
• Proficiency with technology and systems such as HRIS, WMS, Microsoft, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related field, or equivalent industry experience
• At least 3 years of manufacturing experience
• At least 2 years of leadership experience
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, & AED within 6 months
• OSHA 30hr Certification within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or related
• 5+ years manufacturing experience
• 3+ years food manufacturing experience
• 3+ years leadership experience
