Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. in Minneapolis is seeking a Production Supervisor to direct warehouse operations staff and coordinate activities to minimize downtime while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

This role partners with Inside Sales and Production Planning to schedule work based on delivery dates, material availability, and processing requirements. First shift is 7am–3pm with OT as needed, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Heavy industrial supervisory experience; steel service-center background preferred.
• Ability to lead and mentor others.
• Experience with Slitting, Cut to Length and Ancillary Devices.
• Strong communication, organization and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct the efforts of warehouse operations staff and coordinate work to minimize downtime.
• Oversee shipments, ensuring quality product and on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Inside Sales and Production Planning to schedule work based on delivery dates and material availability.
• Plan and adjust staffing, OT, and hours to meet production goals and deadlines.
