Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor II (Team Leader) to join our Ashland BDO business at our Lima, Ohio location. This is a highly visible and significant role within the company and the operations team. The position reports to the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Leading a team of 3-4 salaried non-exempt specialists on a rotating shift basis to manufacture and ship butanediol. The team concept involves training, needs assessment, team building, performance coaching, and job assignments. The current schedule is a rotating 12-hour T-day, 5-crew shift at Ashland Lima.
• Operating the plant DCS and performing field tasks as part of the operations team, ensuring routine duties are completed and guidelines are followed. The role involves coordination with distribution, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Leading safety initiatives and developing a safe workplace, with proactive efforts to prevent incidents and injuries. Responsibilities also include compliance with PSM standards.
• Ensuring responsible and compliant environmental operations and leading response activities during plant emergencies.
• Communicating and documenting shift handovers, business needs, troubleshooting plant issues, and diagnostics of mechanical problems.
• Being team-oriented, innovative, flexible, self-starting, customer-focused, honest, positive, and possessing strong leadership and communication skills.

Minimum qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in a petrochemical environment with leadership capabilities.
