Production Supervisor - Secondary Operations

Join to apply for the Production Supervisor - Secondary Operations role at Stone Alliance Group.

Our client is looking to hire a Post-Machining Operations Supervisor. This position involves leading a team focused on maintaining high operational performance and quality across various manual and mechanical metal finishing, chemical finishing, heat treating, deburring, laser welding, assembly, and laser marking of finished devices and instruments. The role includes team building, ensuring proper tools and training, coaching, and oversight to ensure team success.

Essential Functions:
  1. Align staffing and resources with departmental needs and deploy them strategically.
  2. Ensure team members are properly trained and equipped for success.
  3. Align department schedules to meet output requirements.
  4. Maintain equipment per preventive schedules and coordinate external support as needed.
  5. Monitor performance records and develop employee development plans.
  6. Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement and best practices.
  7. Ensure adherence to company policies on shift times, breaks, and quality standards.
  8. Maintain attendance records and manage time-off requests.
  9. Review labor entries and process standards.
  10. Identify and address unsafe conditions, collaborating with Engineering on automation solutions.
  11. Work with Engineering to introduce new technologies and improve processes for quality, cycle times, and reliability.
  12. Prioritize workflow according to the Master Schedule and monitor performance metrics such as on-time delivery, efficiency, scrap rate, and training completion.
  13. Adhere to the Quality Management System.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience (Engineering preferred).
  2. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or similar continuous improvement training preferred.
  3. At least 5 years of progressive manufacturing or engineering experience in a regulated environment.
  4. Ability to read, understand, train, and coach on finishing operations per procedures and best practices.
  5. Experience in Medical Device or other regulated manufacturing sectors (Aerospace, Defense, Pharma, etc.).
