Job summary

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on workplace safety, occupational health, and food safety initiatives with hourly production team members.
• Plan day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, team members, materials) to meet performance targets and production schedule.
• Document daily production activities and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with Operations and Maintenance to maximize efficiency.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, hiring, discipline, coaching, training and development, and termination recommendations.
• Train production staff and provide ongoing guidance and coaching.
• Communicate shift activity and changes to equipment, processes, and materials to team members.
• Lead by example and establish clear objectives and responsibilities to guide the team.
• Adhere to staffing models and manage start, stop, and transition times.
