Castelion in Torrance, CA is seeking a Production Supervisor, R&D for the night shift. You will lead a team of technicians across multiple disciplines, overseeing production execution and driving improvements on electro-mechanical assemblies and tests.

The role reports to the Production Manager and requires strong leadership, scheduling, and shop-floor oversight. This is a full-time position with equity, generous PTO, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Production Supervisor, R&D (Night Shift 2pm to 11pm)

Castelion is looking for a components Production Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager, to support the development and production of electro-mechanical systems required for long-range hypersonic strike vehicles. This will be a full-time position located at our Torrance, California facility.

As an Production Supervisor, you will lead and develop a team of R&D Technicians while owning daily production execution across assembly rework, components manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, integration, and test.

This role requires a strong technical and process-focused mindset combined with the people leadership and production ownership expected of a supervisor. You will organize and assign work, monitor execution, develop technicians, resolve production issues, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain a strong hands‑on presence on the production floor.

Responsibilities

• Manage the majority of nightshift technicians across multiple disciplines at Castelion.
• Hire and develop a team of technicians in support of Castelion LRIP production goals.
• Supervise shop floor activity, including daily schedules and work flow.
• Lead and manage a staff of up to 30 technicians, including performance management.
• Ensure all required skillsets are adequately sourced on the R&D team.
• Maintain tooling and consumable inventory
• Identify and develop training as required from the skills matrix
• Track and execute on deliverables out of the R&D shop.
• Continuous process improvement.

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years aerospace manufacturing and assembly experience
• 3+ years of leadership exerptise

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 5+ years in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Bachelors degree in an associated field.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or lead technician role.
• Intimate knowledge of MES software.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
