The role is on-site in Devens with a rotating 12-hour shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:00 AM). Candidates should have a high school diploma and relevant leadership experience, with a preference for a plastics-related degree.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s in Plastics or related field preferred.
• At least three years in maintenance management or related area.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to implement cost-reduction programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Confer with management to set production and quality standards and gather data on orders.
• Coordinate production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to optimize resources.
• Review reports to identify nonconformities and address production issues with supervisors.
• Minimize scrap and ensure clean operating areas and proper stocking of supplies.
• Monitor production metrics and prepare monthly report cards; seek continuous improvement in defects per million.
• Ensure employees read and adhere to policies; ensure equipment readiness and availability.
• Assist in monitoring SPC systems and compiling production data.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Jabil in Devens, MA is seeking a Production Supervisor! The Production Supervisor will oversee production processes and will assist the Supervisor in establishing production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.

• This position is on-site in Devens, MA.
• The schedule for this is a rotating 12-hour shift, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am. (for example Monday and Tuesday on, Wednesday and Thursday off, and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday off. Monday and Tuesday off, Wednesday and Thursday on, weekend off).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards. Also assists in obtaining data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Helps to minimize excessive material on the production floor.
• Assists in the coordination of production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
• Reviews and discusses production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and operating or production problems with production supervisors.
• Assists in the minimization of scrap and materials request order (MRO) usage. Ensures that each workstation has a clean operating area. Assists in the implementation of operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve metrics.
• Monitors all production metrics and completes monthly “report card”. Seeks continued improvement in lowering line and plant defects per million (DPM).
• Ensures that line employees read, understand, and adhere to appropriate policies and procedures. Ensures proper stocking and availability of operation supplies and equipment.
• Assists in monitoring the SPC system to fix repetitive and recognize problems immediately. Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education And Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree in Plastics or related discipline preferred.
• At least three years experience in maintenance management OR a combination of education, experience and/or training.
• At least 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable the company’s business goals and objectives with the ability to devise and implement a strategy to achieve targets.
• Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and managing continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
• Strong and convincing communication skills.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).

The pay range for this role is $85,300 - $153,500. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
