Job summary

Grande Cheese Company is seeking a Production Supervisor (Nights) to oversee daily operations at the Friendship facility. You will lead and support team members, coordinate schedules, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly desired; equivalent level of experience may be considered.
• Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing, with management/leadership training.
• Knowledge and experience of lean principles and process optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership ability including speaking and presenting information.

Responsibilities

Schedule/Hours

Monday-Friday, starting between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, with flexibility to adjust hours based on business needs.

What you need to be considered for the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Leadership, Industrial Tech or other related field strongly desired. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.
• Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with work experience and/or training related to management/leadership skills required.
• A Bachelor's Degree and relevant internship or other management/leadership experience and/or training required.
• Knowledge and experience of lean principles and process optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership ability including ability to effectively speak and present information and respond to questions.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to comprehend technical instructions/policies/procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing software and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with safety and quality compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred:

• Certification in lean manufacturing, such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and water regulations, including CFR, FSMA, the PMO, and Bioterrorism Act preferred.
