Job summary

Grande Cheese is seeking a Production Supervisor on 2nd Shift to oversee daily production and sanitation at our Fond du Lac, WI facility. You will lead and support team members, coordinate schedules, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, meeting production goals, and fostering a positive team culture that aligns with our mission.

Schedule / Hours: Monday - Friday; 2:00PM-11:00PM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management or related field is strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in food manufacturing, with leadership experience or training.
• Knowledge of lean principles and process optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills; ability to understand technical instructions.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

What you need to be considered for the role:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Leadership, Industrial Tech or other related field strongly desired. An equivalent level of experience may be considered.
• Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with work experience and/or training related to management/leadership skills required; or A Bachelor's Degree and relevant internship or other management/leadership experience and/or training required.
• Knowledge and experience of lean principles and process optimization.
• Demonstrated leadership ability including ability to effectively speak and present information and respond to questions.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Ability to comprehend technical instructions/policies/procedures in written, verbal, or diagram form.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing software and data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with safety and quality compliance standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred:

• Certification in lean manufacturing, such as Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local food and water regulations, including CFR, FSMA, the PMO, and Bioterrorism Act preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
