Oldcastle APG, part of CRH, seeks a shift supervisor in Florida to oversee a manufacturing production team. This role focuses on achieving production goals, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring safety at all times.

The position requires leadership experience in concrete manufacturing and the ability to train and guide a team across multiple machines. The successful candidate will lead daily operations, coordinate with maintenance, and uphold quality standards while supporting a safe

• Concrete manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience training team members including forklift, bobcat, and loader, plus equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations.
• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment; set up and operate machinery.
• Monitor machine operation; discuss issues with maintenance to diagnose problems.
• Operate forklift as directed, adhering to safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect work in progress and finished products.
• Oversee daily preventive maintenance program.
• Track and report inventory and parts usage.
• Analyze production scorecards and shift reports.
• Train, promote, and discipline employees; enforce safety rules.

Job Summary

Responsible for supervision of employees within assigned shift. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties of the job

Job Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
• Operate forklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures
• Inspect work in progress and finished product
• Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program
• Track/report inventory and parts usage
• Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports
• Train, promote, and discipline employees
• Ensure all safety rules are followed and employee follow safety program
• Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality and production standards
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Previous team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Concrete manufacturing experience preferred
• Experience providing on the job training to team members to include but not limited to the operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and development of production machine troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Walking up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and standing for long periods of time
• Ability to work in all environmental conditions and extreme temperatures
