About the Role

The Production Supervisor Night Shift plays a critical role in overseeing and managing manufacturing operations during the night shift to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production output. This position is responsible for leading a team of production workers, coordinating workflow, and maintaining adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. The supervisor will monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize productivity. They will also ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain a secure working environment for all employees. Ultimately, the role aims to deliver consistent production results that meet or exceed operational goals while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture during the night shift.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work night shifts and manage a team during overnight hours.
  • Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or equivalent safety training.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and data analysis tools to support production decision-making.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate all activities of the night shift production team to meet daily production targets and quality standards.
  • Monitor production processes and equipment performance, identifying and resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate production staff to enhance skills, performance, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate production reports, shift logs, and documentation for management review.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
