Job summary

Arconic Corporation is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a 10–35 person team on a 12-hour night shift (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and efficient production flow across a unionized plant.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, military, or construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage crew performance in alignment with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. Champion EHS initiatives across the organization.
  • Engage and coach hourly teams in process improvement and rapid problem-solving activities.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing, 5S, standardized work, work balancing, product flow, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Drive root cause problem-solving to prevent recurrence of issues and improve long-term performance.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure production goals are met.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, peers, and other departments to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality assurance records for your designated area and shift.
  • Meet or exceed production targets, including output, safety, on-time delivery, and people development initiatives.
  • Consistently enforce workplace rules, policies, procedures, and labor agreements to maintain a fair and compliant work environment.
  • Plan and execute departmental operations, including scheduling, crew assignments, and overtime management.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, ensuring internal and external expectations are met.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to communicate priorities and align on production goals.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support business objectives and plant performance.

Job description

Our Production Supervisors are essential to our plant’s success, driving operational performance by leading teams, ensuring safety and quality standards, meeting production goals, and directly impacting efficiency, employee engagement, and continuous improvement across the plant.
As a Production Supervisor, you will lead and manage a team of 10 to 35 employees within one of several departments, with a primary focus of ensuring that production processes run efficiently, safely, and with a commitment to high-quality standards.

To become successful, you must have strong communication, influencing and leadership skills to lead your team, work collaboratively with fellow supervisors to make timely decisions, maintain product flow throughout the plant, and achieve operational goals by monitoring output, managing information flow, and driving overall team effectiveness.

  • Lead and manage crew performancein alignment with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards. Champion EHS initiatives across the organization.
  • Engage and coach hourly teamsin process improvement and rapid problem-solving activities. Spend 25–50% of your time directly interacting with and coaching production employees.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing, 5S, standardized work, work balancing, product flow, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance).
  • Drive root cause problem-solvingto prevent recurrence of issues and improve long-term performance.
  • Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure production goals are met.

SCHEDULE

This role follows a 12-hour night shift from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, operating on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule over a two-week cycle. This schedule provides a consistent 2-3-2 rotation with every other weekend off and a built-in three-day mid-week break every other week, supporting work-life balance and recovery. Additionally, for weeks worked over 40 hours you are paid overtime. For weeks you are working 36 hours, you are paid for 40 hours.

  • 2 on: Monday and Tuesday
  • 3 off: Wednesday – Friday
  • 2 on: Saturday and Sunday
Rotation Week 2
  • 2 off: Monday and Tuesday
  • 3 on: Wednesday – Friday
  • 2 of: Saturday and Sunday
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, heavy industrial, military, or construction environments.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
