Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed LLC is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to lead production personnel on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 7:45 PM to 8:00 AM, with every-other-weekend work. You will drive safety, quality, housekeeping, and cost-reduction initiatives while enforcing plant rules and policies.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing and supervision, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with UKG and SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 5+ years in manufacturing (required).
• 5+ years of supervision/leadership (required).
• TF Reporting/Safety (Preferred).
• Microsoft Office (Required).
• UKG & SAP systems (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise hourly production employees on safe, efficient operation of line equipment.
• Lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health policies.
• Communicate and document performance expectations; provide coaching and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of hourly hires.
• Oversee training to ensure SOP adherence and proper equipment use.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective countermeasures for losses.
• Maintain 5S housekeeping; hold employees responsible for areas.
• Review timekeeping and ensure correct hours and wages per pay policies.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Night Shift: This position is on the night shift on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule that includes working every other weekend. Shift hours are from 7:45 PM to 8:00 AM.

Essential Functions

• Directly supervises the hourly production employees on the safe and efficient operation of the production line equipment and processes. Will lead shift safety meetings to ensure compliance to all safety, environmental and health policies, procedures, and practices.
• Communicates & documents employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed. Will be required to assist in the evaluation and selection process of hiring hourly employees.
• Oversees the training of production employees to ensure they receive adequate training prior to operating any of the manufacturing equipment and that they follow the standard operating procedures and work instructions.
• Assists in performing root-cause analysis as well as implementing sustainable countermeasures on losses related to production.
• Maintains workplace organization to ensure good housekeeping (5S) by holding employees responsible for their assigned work areas.
• Reviews and approves employee time in the UKG timekeeping system and ensures employees are paid the correct hours and wages in accordance with the respective sites pay policies and procedures or collective bargaining agreements.
• May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S & Six Sigma (Preferred)

Must be willing to work the night shift on a rotating schedule which includes working every other weekend. Shift hours are from 7:45 PM to 8:00 AM.
