Job summary

Broadridge seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee mail production operations in El Dorado Hills, CA. You will ensure SLA compliance, optimize throughput, and coordinate cross-department resources for cost efficiency and quality.

The role requires supervising labor, training operators on Jetvision/Intel, and managing equipment such as Bindery and Postal sort. Shift is 6:00 PM–6:00 AM, with a potential annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years supervisory experience in a production environment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Machine & plant acquisition experience necessary; proven proficiency in analyzing problem areas and adjusting production schedules as required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production sign-off on all jobs, including material/ media/ indicia verification
• Responsible for ensuring all Operators have received proper technical training including Jetvision, Intel, and double detection checks
• Responsible for all mail industry production equipment such as Bindery, Insertion and Postal sort; know capabilities, workflow enhancements and limitations
• Oversees all labor on the Production floor; utilizes outside temp agencies to adjust labor as volume dictates
• Delegates and ensures machines have work; maximizes machine throughput and maintains a clean, safe environment
• Cross-trains associates to reduce labor costs and place on proper equipment
• Plans, monitors and schedules labor to match volume needs; aims to meet cost per unit targets
• Ensures next shift is prepared and priorities are communicated
• Tracks hot jobs and coordinates with departments to meet must-mail deadlines
• Pulls jobs from supporting areas to meet deadlines
• Manages weekend staffing during proxy season and month-end runs
• Ensures material handlers keep machines stocked and inventory counts are accurate
• Implements and updates production procedures and training schedules
• Monitors work-in-progress to maintain continuous production
• Sets department and individual goals and communicates them
• May assume Production Manager responsibilities in absence of manager
• Coaches and supports staff; provides internal training on applications
• Other duties as assigned

We are seeking a Production Supervisor in El Dorado Hills, CA! In this role, you will ensure all Service Level Agreements with Broadridge Clients are met in the most cost-efficient manner, prioritizing all client mailings on the production floor to ensure all SEC and contractual requirements are met. You will monitor production lines to maximize throughput and labor cost, and coordinate resources between all departments to ensure efficiency is maximized while maintaining high-quality standards. Reports to Manager/Director Production.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production sign-off on all jobs, including material/ media/ indicia verification
• Responsible for ensuring all Operators have received proper technical training including Jetvision, Intel, and double detection checks. Additionally, ensure Operators have received proper quality and ISO training
• Responsible for all mail industry production equipment such as Bindery, Insertion and Postal sort. Must know their capabilities, workflow enhancements and limitations
• Oversees all labor on the Production floor ensuring the operation is running efficiently. Utilizes outside temp agencies to increase and decrease labor as volume dictates.
• Delegates and ensures all machines have work (minimize down time) and the right jobs are on the right machines; monitors and maximizes machine throughput. Maintains surplus according to standards and provides a clean and safe environment
• Responsible for Cross Training associates across Production Operations to reduce labor costs and position associates on the proper equipment.
• Plans/ Monitors/ Schedules proper labor to match volume needs dictated by workflow. Accountable to meet and exceed cost per unit targets with team on process improvements
• Ensures following shift is prepared to run as efficiently as possible and communicate priorities verbally and through daily E-Mail turnovers.
• Delegates and ensures all jobs on the Must-Mail list are prioritized and completed in the proper order. Track all "hot jobs" and increase communication between departments to ensure must mail deadlines are met.
• Responsible for pulling jobs from supporting areas (Print Room, Forms, Inkjet, Scheduling) to help meet/exceed SLA’s.
• Responsible for weekend staffing of associates during Proxy season, Saturday Confirms, and month end statement runs.
• Ensure material handlers keep machines filled with proper material/ envelopes required for the job, giving the Warehouse proper lead-time. Ensure all material handlers are trained and that all skids are scanned accurately using the RF gun. Monitors RF guns and ensure all personnel are licensed. Ensures the envelopes and materials are audited to ensure accurate counts on inventory. Preparation of budget in compliance with company guidelines.
• Continually revises, improves, and implements production operating procedures to department’s training requirements and ensures timely and effective training schedules to ensure the skill base of the department
• Monitors all work in progress ensuring that a constant production workflow is maintained. Makes recommendations for process improvements.
• Establishes clearly defined department and individual goals and objectives and communicates to associates through departmental meetings and performance planning
• Assumes all Production Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Production Manager
• Coaches, counsels, motivates and develops staff. Trains and provides coaching on internal associate applications
• May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Shift: Late Week Night (LWN) – Wednesday-Friday, alternating every other Saturday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

The salary range for this position is $76,000 - $80,000 annual, plus a shift differential. Eligible for annual bonus. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
